The cloth tape helps to stop the hoop slipping on your clothing, so it sticks to your body better. You can always add extra tape to the hoop yourself. For example you may want to use a cheap electrical tape to add colour or weight to the hoop placing it in between the cloth tape. Get creative with your hoop.

Please don’t leave your hoop in direct sunlight in front of a window, e.g car, greenhouse, ect. As you hoop and tape may warp. Try and avoid hooping on concrete as the tape will get scuffed and scratched  when the hoop is dropped. When you have mastered hooping with your 44 or 41 inch you may want to down size to spin faster and challenge yourself more.

The larger and heavier the hoop, the slower it spins which gives you more time to keep it going. Making the larger the hoop, the easier it is.

So to start with a 41 inch is good for beginners.

Once you get the hang of it then a 38 inch hoop is better as it spins faster, making you work harder.

Some people though can pick up a 38 inch and hoop straight away, so it is best to try out the different sizes if you can. It is also personal preference and what you are comfortable with.

For people who are really struggling to keep the hoop up, I would recommend the biggest hoop I do which is a 44 inch hoop.

I have had people in classes using hoops brought from a well know high street catalog store and supermarket, both braking and snapping whilst being used within a couple of weeks. This is not only dangerous and expensive but disappointing too.

You will not be disappointed with my hoops, they will last you a long time and will not break under normal conditions. They can fully customised  and made to fit your budget. I can resize them, re-tape them or help you do it yourself. So your hoop will stay with you and become a good friend.

I use these in my classes and find them the best for hoop fitness and good to start with for hoop dance. These hoops are heavy enough to give you a good workout and help you to keep the hoop up. These are also the type that I make. Plus you can make them heavier if you need to by adding extra tape on to the hoop.

Are used by adults who are into fitness and beginners. Normally 1 inch diameter piping and 38-44 inch diameter hoop. Around 1kg or above.
